Elizabeth Senior receives Governor’s Awards in Arts Education

Brittany Henderson, a senior at Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth, was honored at the 32nd NJ Governor’s Awards in Arts Education ceremonies held in Trenton at Patriots Theatre at the War Memorial on Thursday, May 10. Henderson received the Governor’s Award in Arts Education for Excellence in Jazz. She was honored along with other outstanding students and educators in the state for their achievements in the arts.

Warehouse in Elizabeth: Counterfeit goods from China a continuing problem that costs billions a year

The Justice Department said Friday it shut down a number of web sites that were selling counterfeit sports jerseys made in China. Agents said they also seized $1.5 million dollars in illegal profits. But this is just one victory in a never-ending battle against Chinese counterfeiters. CBS News correspondent Bob Orr looks into this problem. Union County Freeholder Chairman Alexander Mirabella paid a visit to nine-year-old Zachary Brooks of Summit this week to thank him for his efforts to raise awareness about autism.
