Union County, NJ-On Saturday, October 27, 2012, Union County College’s Office of College Life will be hosting a Halloween 5K Race Fun Walk/Run in Nomahegan Park, Cranford, NJ. The race will begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a Parent and Kids 2 Mile Fun Walk/Run. Official timing will be used and the male and female age groups are 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. All are encouraged to come in costume and awards will be given for “Best Overall Costume” for kids ages 0-13 and adults 14+.
Entry fees are $25 per person and $12 for kids 13 and under. Each participant will receive a custom designed t-shirt. An awards ceremony will be held and candy will be available throughout the route of the Parent and Kids 2 Mile Fun Walk/Run.
Teams are encouraged to participate. Registration forms are available at www.ucc.edu click on the link for the walk under “Upcoming Events.” All the information needed to register for the run or walk is located at the site. However, you must download the appropriate form for your needs and mail it back to Union County College. Nomahegan Park is located across the street from the College’s Cranford campus located at 1033 Springfield Avenue.
For those who enjoy participating in 5K Runs and 2 Mile Walks, Union County College’s Office of College Life is hosting a Halloween 5K Race Fun Walk/Run on October 27, 2012.
