Men’s Soccer Team Named GSAC Champions and Advance to Region XIX Final on Saturday

UNION COUNTY, N.J- Union County College’s Men’s Soccer team has had a very successful season. On Wednesday, October 17, 2012, they won the Garden State Athletic Conference after they defeated The County College of Morris by a score of 1-0. The goal for this win was scored by Yvener Guerrier. They finished their GSAC season with a 16-1-2 record and 11-1 in the Region XIX.

            On Tuesday, October 23, 2012, the Owls competed in the Region XIX Semi-Finals at home and defeated Montgomery County College with a 4-0 win.

The team has now advanced to the Region XIX Finals. They are #2 seed and will play #3 seed Ocean County College on Saturday, October 27, 2012. The game will be held at Ocean and will begin at 2:30 p.m.
