Roselle Park police have released surveillance photos of a man who they said robbed a gas station yesterday of an undisclosed amount of money — and may have held up an Elizabeth service station, as well.

What is this?

Images of a car used in the 2:40 p.m. Roselle Park holdup in the 400 block of East Westfield Avenue were also released.

The robber was described as black, with a black beard, about 6-foot-1 and wearing a black baseball cap with a fluorescent brim, a fluorescent shirt with black lettering across the front, a dark blue jean jacket with white lettering on the shoulder, gray pants and black sneakers with fluorescent piping.

The vehicle is described as a late-model blue or black Nissan Rogue with a white sticker in the top left (driver side) of the back window.

The vehicle approached the area headed south from Sheridan Avene, then fled east on East Westfield Avenue towards Elizabeth, police said.

“It is possible this vehicle is connected with a similar type of robbery in the City of Elizabeth on Newark Avenue, which occurred earlier in the day,” Roselle Park police said.

They asked that anyone with information about the robbery call them directly at (908) 245-2300 or: police@rosellepark.net
